  2. Fighting With Peace

October 9, and I was born,
In Liverpool guided by explosions and bombs.
That day I was left by my biologic mother
In the hands to who would be my real mom.

My name John because of my grandfather,
In bad conditions and sad in my first years.
At age of eleven, dreams start my career,
With music inside of me screaming “get me out of here”.

The day I started to play the guitar,
Hearing in my background “that’s not going to be your life”.
School in my mind was far,
Everything I did is bad of all kind.

At 15 I choose one piece of my life
    The “Quarrymen” a skiffle band.
Later the Beatles came out one night,
With explosions in the voices and the hands.

    Just give me two hours
And I have already a song.
    With my friend McCartney
We can write to the whole world all night long.

    My band start to grow
Like a little kid that begin to crawl and later run.

One day comes to me the discouragement
And I start to use drugs.
Later left us and important piece in our puzzle,
Our manager of rock and roll.

I quit the Beatles one day
And McCartney stays with the guys,
Taking the credit of my work
But not the dream that was still on my eyes.

I followed music and wrote what was in my heart
Songs of my childhood and others that the radio doesn’t want.
Beginning to talk about peace ,love and human rights,
All the changes that people want.

1971 and I begin to fight against war
Saying: “War is over… if you want”
    “please give me a chance”
Everyone lets sing and say no more war.

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world lives as one.

I left music for a while to take care of my son
But in 1980 came out again the sun.
Me singing and singing about my own
Until one day that happened, something I don’t know.

Death traded me and enter with sadness in my back
30 minutes later, John was dead.
    The world was convulsive
As for me ,another life was ahead.

    The legend goes on
John Lennon is in the worlds mind
    Eventhough I’m not in earth
Like me there isn’t two of a kind.

My memories are still on musicians guitar
And maybe my voice in your grandmas heart
Until this day I’m to be remembered
For my unique form to fight.
